How would this sentence look without “Realtor” In it?

The Realtor looked in the MLS and showed me some real estate listings. I bought a home and the Realtor entered the SOLD price into the MLS. Now the Real Estate AGENT is NOT allowed to Use the MLS… So you can’t really replace the word Realtor with real estate agent, now can you.. so The Realtor…. Is really only appropriate. Yet Mary Newill likes to “pretend” your NOT allowed to Use Realtor in describing a profession… your JUST a Real Estate Agent who happens to ( HAS TO) join the National Association of Realtors to be in “their” club and to use their database. Hmmmm… things sure are messed up over there at NAR… let’s take bets on how long they can keep up the illusion that they are needed, that they do not violate anti-trust laws, that they are out to protect the consumer, promote a spirit of cooperation and enforce the Code of Ethics… NoT.

They Say..."many REALTORS® don't realize the importance of protecting the trademark. If we don't protect it and it becomes "public" it will lose all its meaning. "

This in Regard to Protecting the Trademark, THEY don't want you to call them a Realtor - but they - the troops in the field most ALL call themselves Realtor.

They don't Want the WORD realtor to become "Public" domain - this is Scary - Controling - and shows the Mind Set of the National Association of Realtors in My Opinion.

Not wanting a Word to Be Public Domain, Public Property should be against every Law of the Land in EVERY way. What if Someone Who Invents, started a Club and called it "Inventor®" and made you pay to join, then everything you invented calling yourself an Inventor you would answer to them the all knowing power who trade marked the Name.. Realtor - SHOULD not have been allowed to be trademarked in the first place.

What about Professor - what if that was Trademarked?

How Accurate are Real Estate Listings on Websites?

They are NOT accurate at ALL. The Property could sell before you even see the Listing. Realtors will Keep it on the Site on purpose as Bait to get another buyer. Also if you Put your Real Estate for Sale on Several Online Sites, it is VERY hard to go back and Delete them all and Hey - it's FREE publicity.

I have EVEN seen Realtors put Signs on Property that are NOT for Sale and When Someone Calls they Say it Sold, and they conveniently Find them Something Else.Realtors deliberate enter false or misleading data sometimes, or sometimes don't enter the listing at all to "hoard it". Some say that this is NOT still happening .... IT is..It is IMPOSSIBLE to "Clean Up the 'Realtors" Industry" And I SEE no measures in Place by the National Association of Realtors do Really Even Try.

Ethics are NOT Law and Realtors Don't EVEN follow them, no ONE is looking and even if they do get caught in Lies, they are Self Policed so NO Trouble getting through that one.

Try Harder, take another meaningless Class. Realtors Lie Every Day, Realtors have NO One Looking over their Shoulder. Some think that Brokers watch over Agents "Realtor" Brokers don't care. I once called a managing Broker on a Very Serious deal that ended up in a Seller Losing a Good Deal and a Lot of Money.

The Managing Broker (Realtor) said " I can't help you - I am on the Grievance Committee" - How can a Managing Broker be on a grievance committee ?

Doesn't it Limit them being able to Supervise their "Realtors"? This is ONE example, There are hundreds and most likely thousands, where Realtors, Brokers, DO Not care if agents in their office VIOLATE ethics or Break the Law.

I have called my local MLS office on Violations, information on Fraud, information on inaccurate MLS Data, information on "Realtors" - agents working for more than one office, information on agents lying about Known Defects to the Point of Sellers losing everything, and THEY offered no belief No Support.Realtors are Self Governed.

They decide their own fate, they decide who "gets in trouble" for what, and if any Harm was Really Done and to Whom. You can Just Imagine How that Plays Out.

And if you go to the State Real Estate Commission about a Realtor they wash their hands of it - because they DO NOT have the Money, Lawyers, or Political Power to Stand up to the Local, State or National Association of Realtors. - You Lose.

If you Get an Attorney, a Real Estate Attorney to Fight for You, if you KNOW and Can prove without a Doubt that a Realtor lied or concealed a "Known Defect" - Latent Defect - or Adverse Material Fact" than you will think, as a Real Estate Consumer that you will have Recourse and that Justice Will be Served.

It Will NOT be served.The "National Association of Realtors" and Local Real Estate Boards encourage Realtors and some states Even Mandate Realtors to Have E and O insurance.

They "pretend" that, and convince us Real Estate Brokers and You Real Estate consumers that a "Realtor" having E and O insurance is good for real estate Consumers. It is Simply NOT True. The E and O insurance that YOUR Realtor has is intended to Protect Your Realtor from you.

So even if you Know and Can Prove without a Doubt that Your Realtor Lied about something in, on or around your real estate transaction and you can Really Prove without a doubt how much it Harmed You.

So In this the E and O insurance company will FIGHT YOU for Years, and EVEN though you have Black and White, without a doubt Proof the E and O insurance, the Realtors will Prove that Somehow it was you, the victim of real estate fraud, your fault. They will keep you in court for years, take precious years from your family, you will live in debt and stress because of the Realtors LIE, you Have Proof - and No One Will Care.

And in the End you will most likely Give up, Because the Association of Realtors is Big Business and Protecting the Real Estate Consumer is NOT the Business They are in.

It is Even Worse if the Agent is Century 21, ERA, Coldwell Banker or Sotheby's Because they are ALL owned by the Same Billion Dollar Company and they can FIGHT for a Decade.

The Association of Realtors DOES nothing to Protect YOU the Real Estate Consumer, they are Out to Protect the "Realtors" - all the while claiming you had better not use the Word Realtor to Describe a Profession... this - they say is a Trademark Violation.

The NAR is scrambling to Stay Relevant in the Internet Age and they Are Hurting the Real Estate Consumer in the Process.

When I emailed Mary Newill in 2005 about Other Domain Owners that were in Violation she said on some of them that they were “not an active domain”. The names were “parked pages” this means that the Registrar or the Domain Owner WERE definitely Making Money from the Advertisers on the Page but the National Association of Realtors Was and Still is Clueless as to what an “Active Domain” Really Is.

Other Domains such as MontanaRealtor.com are Being Monetized, Used and Money is Being Made by this domain name by ad space for the Web Hosting Company 1 & 1. So who does the Association of Realtors Allow to Make Money from their supposed good name, and who do they Keep from Benefiting from their supposed good name.

Mary with ALL her Power and Might managed to convince these sites to shut down.. and Stopped the business on the site but let 3 Years of Ad dollars go to the Registrar, the Domain Name Owner and the Parking Company – This Should Tell you, the Real Estate Consumer a WHOLE lot about the Mind Set of the Association of Realtors.

The Above Names are Examples that Mary Newill discussed with me 3 Years ago and Still Mary Newill and the Association of Realtors DOES NOT get what these domains are doing, they are simply satisfied with STOPPING me as a Realtor from using the name Realtors while they let sites like the above examples make money from names with Realtor in them and they let the Registrars Sell these names and Make Money from the Sale – But they Keep Members of their association from using the name, well at least some of them… Why?

Also 3 years ago I told Mary Newill of a Man who was at the Realtor Trade shows promoting the Leasing of Domain Names that contain “Realtor” in the name.

Hundred and Hundred of Domain Names with “Realtor” in the Name are STILL for Lease today 3.5 years later at that Same Company and I wonder if this Makes Mary Newill Sad.. as stated in her email to me about my actions.

This same Domain Name Leasing Company was welcomed Open Arms by the Association of Realtors, the NAR even Wrote and Article at one time in support of this company. I read the article on Realtor.org when I was a member.

The Domain name aftermarket has lots of “Realtor” names for sale and Realtor wants to STOP a site called SavvyBroker.com Why? Think about it Folks….

People have been buying and Selling Domain Names with Realtor in it for years, and the NAR simply does not get it. Mary Newill would better spend her time at the Source – which is STOPPING The Registrars from Making Money Selling the Domain Names.. instead of chasing down millions of Domain Name owners.. Duh.

Mary Lets IdahoRealtor.com redirect to IdahoRealEstate.com Hmmm who makes money from that name….

Mary Newill is so busy chasing down the little guy and people like me speaking out about the Realtors that she does not even know how to real stop the Rampant Trademark violations in the Domain name ( Hint to Mary : Start at the Registrar) if the Association of Realtors cannot STOP the Registrar why can they Huff and Puff and Take Away Your Domain Name… Maybe they can’t … I canceled ALL my Realtor Domain names (225 of them) and the Registrar has resold them and made money AGAIN.. the Association of Realtor either could not – would not – or did not do anything about this… NAR is after the Little Guy – Plain and Simple.

Come On – Why Stop One and NOT ALL… Another Motive Possibly?
