FBI and Mortgage Fraud

What Does the FBI think of Mortgage Fraud? From what I have seen online they "seem" to be very strict on this crime. However, I have read where people tell the FBI of mortgage fraud and the FBI does not respond at all. It would seem that Mortgage Fraud and Predatory lending is VERY legal and that by the time anyone takes a look the Criminal has shredded - forged - and changed ALL documents that would incrimenate them.

For me as a Broker Owner, I see Mortgage Fraud, I have seen quite a bit of it and there is NOTHING I can do. I have tried talking to the Criminal, Tried the Dept. of Justice, Tried the FBI, the State and Local agencies and GUESS what this is just one more way that you the Real Estate Consumer has no protection from the Predatories in the Real Estate Industry.

If you suspect mortgage fraud, the FBI suggests reporting it to your local FBI
Division; a list of contact numbers appears at http://www.fbi.gov/contact/fo/fo.htm .

The FBI has a mortgage fraud education page online that explains various types of schemes.
The agency also accepts fraud tips at its Web site: https://tips.fbi.gov/ .

The TRUTH of this is they only recommend this to make it 'look" they are cracking down on mortgage fraud... in truth in the Real World of Real Estate they ARE not listening, the do not seem to care and they take NO action, no matter how much proof of Mortgage Fraud you can provide them.
