Self Regulating

The Association of Realtors are Self Regulating. - You Lose

Apparently the Supreme Court decided it was okay for Realtors to self regulate.

This is apparently allowed As long as the Realtors promote competition. The Realtors have literature that suggests that they promote competition, but really I don't see it.

The local and National Association of Realtors act like they promote competition and they will defend this to no end, but in reality as a real estate broker owner, I was not really able to set my own commissions without facing consequences. And I really do not believe that the Association of Realtors really does encourage or promote competition.

The Realtors supposed, Ethics Codes of Ethics that supposedly, are in compliance with federal antitrust laws tell us NOT to say that we MUST “Make” our “sales agents” sign up as Realtors – yet they do Make us Sign up our Real Estate Agent.

So, on one hand they're telling us not to say these things are happening but on the other hand these THINGS really are happening.

So there is no room for doubt that the National and Local Association of Realtors is in violation of antitrust laws.

The NAR is a HUGE and Powerful organization and they are self regulated. They are Really in the Business of Selling Stuff and there is No Stopping them. This Billion Dollar Industry NEEDS to break down and REALTORS need to be NO More. The system is Broken and Real Estate Consumers LOSE.

The Realtors are not going to admit to any of this, there is too much profit at stake and not enough proof. Who is willing to GIVE up their Lucrative Career for You, Besides ME? Most will stick it out for the money is just too irresistible.

It seems to me that the Department of Justice has to work out deals with the National Association of Realtor because they spent years trying to prove that Realtors “price fix” and then they ended up in a deal where the Realtors will allow “discount brokers” into their MLS but they WILL NOT admit to wrong doing.

As a real estate broker owner who was a Realtor and had my own office in several states, I can tell you that their really is no way around the blatant violating of antitrust laws every single day.
